Nnewi Residents Are Living In Fear Over This [PHOTOS]

The residents of Umogbo community in Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State are living in fear as Erosion menace ravages the area.

Anambra State Government under Governor Willie Obiano in collaboration with the World Bank had awarded contracts to some foreign firms to control the menace.

But the community’s challenge currently, is the pace at with the work is done.

When some Newsmen visited the erosion site last week, one of the expatriate workers who pleaded anonymity said work was in progress, stating that it has a completion period of twenty four months having commenced work when 2018 was far spent.

He attributed the delayed mobilisation to site by the contracting firms last year, to the issue of compensation and relocation of the community members directly affected by the menace.
