Christmas: Celebrate, do not forget Covid-19 safety guidelines, bad governance – APC tells Abians

December 25, 2020
in Aba News

The Abia State chapter of All Progressive Congress, APC, has called on the Abia residents and indigent to always adhere to Covid19 guidlines while celebrting the birth of Jesus Christ.

The message comes as the whole world is celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ which happened to be on every 25th of December, known as Christmas.

In a goodwill message signed by Comrade Benedict Godson, APC Publicity Secretary, in Abia, the party called on Abians to celebrte and have it in mind that the current situation of the State will be over in 2023.

APC also reminded the people that the only way to sack bad governance is to vote in good people to manage the state.

The message, titled; “Abians, no matter the situation, celebrate the birth of Christ because only Him is our hope,” was obtained by Abacityblog.com

Read the full message below;

“In a year that’s full of troubles, a year where many problems we’ve never seen before visited the whole world, what more can be more delightful than to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ?

“Our prayer is that as the birth of Jesus Christ brought victory, freedom and redemption to the whole world thousands of years ago, so shall this year’s Christmas bring total change into our lives.

“We have no option than to celebrate, but as we celebrate, we must not forget that this festive period is one of no kind, as our collective enemy, Coronavirus is still out there looking for whom to catch and destroy.

“In all we do, we must work and uphold all Covid-19 protocols. We must wear our face masks, use our sanitizers and always wash our hands properly as directed by the NCDC.

“As for the sorry situation of our state where almost everything has been standstill for many years, we urge Abians to remain hopeful because our state will be liberated by God come 2023.

“The only way to legally remove a bad political party in power under democracy is to vote them out during elections and this will be the situation of our collective oppressors come 2023.

“We urge every Abia to show love, remember those who don’t have anything around them and pay visits to motherless babies home to show them what the birth of Christ means to all of us.

“We wish all Abians merry Christmas and a prosperous new year ahead, as we prepare towards marching into 2021.
