President Muhammadu Buhari has summoned a Meeting of the National Security Council. Ongoing at the State House.
This is coming 24hrs after the Senator representing Abia South, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, calls for the President immediate resignation over what he tagged as inability of the President Buhari led APC government to tame the insecurities in Nigeria.
Abaribe spoke on Wednesday on the floor of the Senate during a debate on insecurity in the country.
He said: “Nigeria didn’t elect the IGP. We didn’t elect other service chiefs. We elected the APC government in 2015. We are asking this government to resign because it can no longer perform its role.”
Meanwhile, in what seem like a response to Abaribe’s call, the president summoned all his service chiefs. Below is a video shared by the Presidency
