Following the Federal Government approval of the payment of N33,000 as monthly allowance for members of the NYSC, corps members who received their payments earlier today have confirmed the reports true.

Bashir Ahmad, Personal Assistant on New Media to President Muhammadu Buhari had quoted the DG of NYSC, Brig.-Gen. Shuaibu Ibrahim, as disclosed that provision had been made for the new allowance in the year 2020 Budget, and payment would commence as soon as funds were released.

The new allowance approved by FG for the NYSC has toppled the previous allowance which the NYSC members normally receive N19,800 as their allowance.

Meanwhile, serving corps members have taken to twitter to celebrates the new allowance.
