Nigerian music star, Burna Boy has won the Best International Act at the BET Awards for the third time.
Recall that Burna Boy had won the Best Global Music Album at the 2021 Grammy Awards held on Sunday, March 14.
Burna Boy’s album, Twice as Tall won the award over records by Antibalas (FU Chronicles), Bebel Gilberto (Agora), Anoushka Shankar (Love Letters), and Tinariwen (Amadjar).
However, prior to his latest award, Burna Boy was nominated in the category alongside Aya Nakamura (France), Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania), Emicida (Brazil), Headie One (UK), Wizkid (Nigeria), Young T & Bugsey (UK), Youssoupha (France).
He was announced as winner of the category at the event which took place on the 27th of June 2021.
