Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, has been caught in another blunder, where he described the Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege as the current Senate President and the incoming governor of Delta State.
Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos State and National leader of the APC made the statement during the flag off of his presidential campaign in Delta State.
Addressing the party supporters, Tinubu thank the people for the hospitality and warm reception he received while coming into the state, he said it shows that the people want change and Ovie Omo-Agege will bring the change they desired.
“I want to say thank you very very much, you have been here since morning. You’ve shown us love, you’ve shown us determination. You’ve showed that you want a change.
“Your answer, the senate president, Ovie Omo-Agege is the next governor.” Tinubu said, adding that Omo-Agege will bring development and hope back to Delta State.
Checks by AbaCityBlog shows that the Delta State APC governorship candidate, Ovie Omo-Agege is the current Deputy Senate President and not the Senate President as Mr. Tinubu described him. Senator Ahmad Lawan is the current Nigeria Senate President.
Bola Tinubu has been in the media since the flagged off of his Presidential campaign. In Jos, Plateau State the APC presidential candidate while delivering a closing remark prayed to God to bless PDAPC, a blunder he made while trying to pray to God to bless his party, the APC.
The gaffe has generated reactions online as many described the politician as unfit for the office of the president.
