Stone Igbo Politicians disrupting Governance in Southeast – Ohanaeze tell Youths

November 29, 2020
in Aba News

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide (OYC) said it had uncovered plots and sinister moves by Abuja based opposition Igbo politicians allegedly targeted on the chairman of Southeast Governors forum and Ebonyi State Governor, Engr Dave Umahi for exercising his fundamental rights to join APC.

OYC said Umahi’s defection is a nice move which should be applauded following his decision by leading the reintegration process for Southeast back to mainstream political party.

In a statement signed by OYC President general, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, warned Igbo Politicians to exempt themselves from the nefarious activities of external proponents of anti Igbo Presidency project to fuel crisis in Southeast.

“like the way IPOB was used to create crisis in Obigbo Rivers state, which led to loss of lives and properties, Governor Umahi’s outcry on the alleged plots to unleash violence in his peaceful State must be resisted by all and sundry, as Igbo Youths will abort any instrumentality of violence, aimed at preventing Southeast Governors not to defect to APC, using Ebonyi State as a testing ground,” parts of the statement read.

Reacting to a 14 days ultimatum given to Governor Umahi to denounce his move into APC by a group, known as ‘Southeast Revival Group (SERG)’, OYC described the group as ‘sponsored’ and the ultimatum as a huge joke.

“Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide countermands the sponsored 14 days ultimatums given to Ebonyi state Governor, Engr Dave Umahi for joining APC by Unknown group, SERG (Southeast revival group) described it as” the voice of Esau, hands of Jacob “, and” a huge joke” as NASS members and Abuja based Opposition Igbo Politicians from Ebonyi State are behind the ultimatums, in their alleged attempts to obstruct governance in Ebonyi state.

“OYC issues this last warning to Igbo Politicians mobilized to destabilize Southeast for the benefit of Supporting a Northern Candidate with Southeast VP in 2023,against Igbo Presidency Project, to know there will be huge sanctions on any Igbo Politicians found compromising the collective interests of Southeast, and such Politicians should avoid Southeast to avert possibly public disgrace and as Igbo youths will stone any found in the act.
