in Aba News, Coronavirus

Reports reaching us has it that The MD of San Dominique hospital Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, who was rushed to Ibom Specialist Hospital 4 days ago with Covid19 symptoms has died.

The reports said the Doctor died yesterday as a result of COVID-19 symptom, exposing almost 20 health workers, while there are plans to coverup the death, as reports also had it that  the state government does NOT want to notify the NCDC.

Revealing more facts, Dr. Olufunmilayo, took to his twitter handle to tell more details about the late Doctor. According to him, “The late medical doctor owns one of the biggest hospitals in Uyo”.

He was rushed to Ibom Specialist Hospital on Monday with fever, cough and difficult breathing. He died yesterday morning after his lungs failed.

He, however said, despite all the doctors saying, this is most likely Covid19 and the politicians in the state are attempting a cover-up.

“They do NOT want the man tested. They do NOT want to notify NCDC. They just want to sweep the whole thing under the carpet (maybe because of the man’s status).

The doctors, nurses and health workers who were exposed to this patient are scared for their lives.

If this patient does NOT get tested, These men and women may be infected with Covid19 and never know.

They are at risk.
Their families are at risk.
Other patients are at risk

This is the same Akwa Ibom govt that initially tried to reject NCDC results until the agency insisted. There are current plans to also suppress this information from going public. But the doctors and health workers who attended to him are very scared for their lives and jobs”, the Dr. said.

He called on the National Center of Disease Control, NCDC, to take up the case and if possible send their agents to Ibom Specialist Hospital in Uyo and test the man’s corpse.

“Kindly isolate/quarantine all health workers exposed to this man. Kindly contact trace and test everyone he came in contact with,” he pleaded,
