Just as good as keeping a promise, not fewer than 400 undergraduates in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State benefited from the Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu’s bursary award.
Hon. Kalu, a member representing Bende Federal Constituency had yesterday organised a bursary award for undergraduates in Bende through his foundation Benjamin Kalu Foundation, in a way to mark the Nigeria’s 59th Independence Day celebration.
The beneficiaries were selected from each wards across Bende and each beneficiary was screened and accredited with a certified student Identity Card (ID).
Hon. Kalu noted that this set of beneficiaries will be the first batch of undergraduates to benefit from the 2019 edition of the Benjamin Kalu Foundation Education Support Project (BKF-ESP2019).
