in #OffBeat

The residents of Yan Tumaki in Danmusa Local Government Area of Katsina State on Tuesday took to the streets of the town to protest repeated attacks by bandits on the community.

The protesters, comprising grown-up men and children, blamed President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Aminu Wasari for the spate of insecurity in the state.

According to punchng, the protesters were also infuriated by the kidnap of one Alhaji Mansir Yusuf and his daughter by bandits around 1 a.m on Tuesday.

It will be recalled that of recent, there have been renewed banditry operations in the Northwest and North-Central region of the country. Although, the military as well has being recoding some successes in neutralizing some of these armed bandits, it however seems the group is more lethal than assumed.
