Abubakar Sadiq Kurbe, a concern native of Kano has alleged that doctors battling Coronavirus in Kano State has been silenced following the suspension of one of its member who was suspended for speaking with the media over influx of the disease in the state.
It should be recalled that Kano is one of the States recording increase on Coronavirus cases. Recently, a Political Affairs Analyst, Muhammed Jamo, told ChannelsTV that about 70% of doctors battling COVID-19 in Kano has absconded.
According to him, the way the state government is handling the virus is below expectation.
Kurbe, in a series twitter post revealed that Governor Umar Gadunje, has imposed his daughter over all the doctors as she lead the team of the COVID-19 taskforce in the state.
“Doctors have been silenced in Kano State. One of them is reportedly suspended for speaking with the press yesterday. Moreover, Amina Umar Ganduje, a lowly-ranked medical doctor, has been bossing everyone in the Kano Task Force on COVID-19”, Kurbe wrote on twitter.

While condemning the action of the governor as “undemocratic and totally wrong”, the social media influencer alleged there are too many coverups in the State.
“There are too many coverups with regards to the coronavirus fight in Kano. Gagging doctors and putting the governor’s daughter in charge are but calibrated plans to hoodwink the public and more”.
He however, noted that President Muhammadu Buhari had refused to oblige Governor Ganduje on his N15B demand to fight the virus in the State.
