Jubilation As Presidency Nominates 2 Solid Igbo Senators To Replace Saraki As Senate President

September 1, 2023
in Nigeria News

The Presidency, through the Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige, has thrown his weight behind the quest that the Senate President’s position should go to the South-East.

In an interview with Journalists, on Sunday, Ngige said that both Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu and Senator Ben Uwajimogu, are fully qualified for the position, and should be considered by their party, the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Ngige said: “We have those that are ranking now. We have Ben Uwajimogu, he is now a two-term Senator, he is coming back from the ruling party.

“We have Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu. Orji Uzor Kalu was a Federal Assembly Legislator during the Military regime, it is counted, because it was a National Assembly, so he has got some ranking.

“Therefore, Orji Uzor Kalu is also qualified. Okorocha’s case will be determined before then.

“We now have some Senators, unlike the last time when we had zero non-party Senators coming from the South-East. There was nobody at all. So, the South-East should definitely be in the equation, I mean the proportion of Senate Presidency.”

Ngige also spoke of the just concluded general elections, condemning the violence that trailed the polls in some States.

Whoever is nominating Orji Uzo Kalu is displaying his magnitude of ignorance and poor knowledge of the rule of law in a constitutional democracy. Orji Uzo Kalu has been accused of siphoning the Abia State Treasury, an indictment he is yet to defend. In addition. he, single handedly converted the City of Umuahia from an Emerging Industrial City to a Residential Center and above all, lacks basic knowledge of the Nigerian Constitution. Orji Uzo Kalu claims to have a nominal doctorate degree of some sort yet he lacks basic knowledge of the null hypothesis of his dissertation topic. Nigeria Quo Vadis? Suffice it to state that such position as the president of a legislative body should be set aside for those with functional knowledge of the basic laws of the land which “Onye Obioma” Kalu has none. All that Kalu has achieved politically and economically for the general good is reducing the emerging industrial City of Umuahia to a residential hub.

How’re the mighty fallen! One is hugely disappointed by Ngige! To propose a character like Orji Uzor Kalu as Senate president representing Igbos in Buhari/APC RIGGED election government is an insult and abomination on Igbo values and integrity. Ngige don miss road o!!

Orji Uzor Kalu is the right person to be senate president, because he looks every bit like the character named Buhari, a certificate dodger and foremost 419er. You can’t put a decent Igbo man there to sully his image.

And Ngige is a “Red Cap Chief,”?

Ngige is a red cap pygmy and not a red cap chief because Ngige is the shortest man in his neighborhood.
