Ayodele Fayose, former Governor of Ekiti State, has revealed the only way the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, can defeat the Labour Party in South-East and South-South region come 2023 general election.
This is even as Fayose asked the PDP to negotiate with the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, if it wants to stand a chance in the 2023 presidential elections.
Fayose, a PDP chieftain, who made the comment during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today, also described Peter Obi as a danger to watch out for in 2023.
“Obi is a danger to watch out for,” Fayose said. “I don’t believe Obi will make 25 percent in two-third of the states. I am not against Obi, I love him and he’s a very vibrant leader. But based on my own permutations, he can’t make 25 percent.
“Obi is more of a chronic cancer to PDP.
“In the South-West, I don’t see how PDP will win. anybody deceiving us can continue to deceive us. I don’t see how PDP will win in the South-East. The South-South will be a combination of all interests.”
Fayose also said, “Reconciling or negotiating with Obi will be a good thing.”
He also called for the PDP to negotiate with the party’s aggrieved Governors.
