The Okon-Aku Development Union (ODU) of Okon-Aku Autonomous community Ohafia in Ohafia local government area, Abia State has joined in the call for the election of the Senator-elect, Abia North Senatorial District, Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu as the Deputy President of the 9th Senate.
The Union in a release signed by the President General, Professor Onwuka N. Njoku, FHSN and the Publicity Secretary, Udoeze Agwu Kalu described the former governor of Abia state as detribalised and a consensus builder whose word is his bond.
They also congratulated Sen. Kalu in advance for his expected victory as the Deputy Senate President.

The Okon-Aku Development Union (ODU) of Okon-Aku Autonomous community Ohafia in Ohafia local government area, Abia State. We hereby support our son and brother, His Excellency, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu, at the 9th National Assembly as the senate deputy president.
His Excellency, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu is the ideal and best qualified Senator to serve as Deputy to Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on many accounts.
He is thoroughly detribalized. He is a consensus builder and conflict resolution wizard. He is a man whose words are his bond; an action man of few words. A two-time former Governor of Abia State, his legacy still speaks eloquent volumes for him.
We say congratulations in advance, Your Excellency, on your very deserved resounding victory at 2019 Senatorial poll. From your track record, there can be no doubt that you will be a shining light among Nigeria’s fellow Senators.
