At an extra ordinary meeting of the people of Ikwuano/Umuahia Forum recently held at Ikwuano LGA, the following resolutions were passed

1. To convey an implicit vote of confidence on our Governor Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, on his landmark achievements in the past six years of piloting the affairs of the state and to encourage him not to be distracted in is quest to deliver infrastructural dividends to all senatorial zones of the state.

2. To galvanize party faithfuls of Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency and to ensure that they avail themselves the opportunity in the ongoing continuous voters registration (CVR) being organized by INEC.

3. To Support the reaction of the PDP State working Committees position reported on the 25th Day of June 2021 which frowns at the various centrifugal tendencies of some groups in recent times conveyed through their various communique and Press statements which made claims to the Governorship position come 2023, thereby heating up the polity prematurely.

4. That at the appropriate time political parties, leaders and stakeholders alike, would engage themselves in consultations and dialogue needed to usher in the next Governor of the state come 2023.

Finally, we hereby reaffirm our total support and loyalty to the Governor and wish to unequivocally state that we also align ourselves with the recent plea to politicians “not to allow their ambitions about 2023 threaten the peace and tranquility we currently enjoy in Abia state.”

Signed:

Pastor Emeka Inyama
(Umuahia South)

Chief Charles Ogbonnaya
(Umuahia North)

Rear Admiral Raphael Osondu(Rtd)
(Ikwuano)
