Reports has it that the men of the Department of State Security Service (DSS) has invited Sheikh Gumi for serious questioning.
Recall that Gumi, during an Arise TV interview made some denigrating statement against the military.
In the interview, Gumi claimed the Nigerian military was collaborating with bandits who engage in killing and kidnapping for ransom.
He described bandits and killer herdsmen’s atrocities as “a tribal war,” accusing the government of taking sides.
According to him, “What you call banditry when you cross to the other side, you find out Nigeria is fighting a tribal war.
Gumi’s invitation by the DSS may not be unconnected with the comments he made on Arise TV. However, the DSS have not released an official statement why they invited the Islamic cleric.
