The Founder of Kalu Idika Foundation, Chief Kalu Idika Okwara on Satuday sued for peace following a crisis that erupted in Amangwu Community, Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State which has claimed several innocent lives and properties worth millions of naira destroyed.
This was contained in a statement personally signed by him and made available to newsmen in Abuja on Saturday, urging the warring groups to end the crisis and allow peace to reign for meaningful development to manifest.
Idika Okwara while condemning the crisis in the community, declared that the situation was unacceptable and must stop immediately.
The oil and gas expert who commiserated with victims of the clash, called on the Abia State Government, security agencies, elders, leaders and youths of Ohafia local government area to do everything within their power to stop the clash.
According to him, “It is most worrisome that Nde Amangwu Ohafia have permitted misunderstanding, provocation or whatever prank of the devil to change them from their brothers’ keepers to mutual enemies.
“This situation is unacceptable and should stop without delay. Our brothers in Amangwu Community are hereby reminded that human lives are sacred and properties which are results of positive human industry deserve protection.
“We must learn to embrace peace and love one another just like the Holy Book admonished us to do. We must imbibe the spirit of love and forgiveness by embracing peace for the overall development of Amaugwu, Ohafia and Abia state in general,” the statement said.
