Meanwhile, photos and videos has been trending online which showed how the dignitaries were spraying money and indigent people where rushing to pick the monies.

However, the videos has been met with mixed reactions from Nigerians.

Reacting to a video where one of the dignitaries threw money into the air and people rushed to pick it, thereby raising dust, Journalist, David Hundeyin @DavidHundeyin said in as much they want to give the people the money, throwing it up is a bad idea. According to him, those people who rushed to pick it might get injured or inhale dust.

He tweet: “The money would be better spent giving these people an all-weather road which would improve their ability to trade and reduce their exposure to respiratory ailments due to constantly inhaling dust.

Also, another twitter user, @RealSolaKuti reacting to videos from the burial of Obi Cubana’s mother, opined that those spraying and showing off their wealth did not make the money legitimately. He said “only thieves show off their wealths”.

He tweet; “Only thieves throw money around in an attempt to show they have it. Why people get mesmerised by this disgusting dehumanising displays…. is beyond me.”
