The residents of Abia will today come out in their numbers to chose who will govern the state in the next four years.

The decision will be made through ballot voting. It’s a fight between the incumbent PDP candidate, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, APC candidate, Uchechukwu Ogah and Dr. Alex Otti of APGA.

7:AM : Abia govt uncovers dangerous plots, warns residents

The Abia State government has uncovered a dangerous plot by the opposition parties in the state to cause mayhem during the election in a bid to change the will of the people.

7:45 AM – PU 02 01 02 located at Girls Secondary commercial School, ASA Road Ward 02 Aba South LGA, Abia State.

Security and party Agents are present. Accreditation and voting commenced at 8.20am.
Card Readers are effectively used for Accreditation and voting.

7:50 AM – Inspection of materials ongoing ,accreditation yet to start ,low turnout voters in Abia state, Aba south,ward 1 unit 32

8:AM – Voting has commenced in Obingwa local government Ward 7 Unit 002 where Abia state governor is expected to vote.

8:AM – Heavily armed security personnel present at Ward 1, Polling Unit 5 Aba North LGA Abia Abia State.

9:45 AM – Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, cast his vote at his polling unit, ward 7, unit 002 Umuobiakwa Village

10:17 AM – Voters register booklet for Units 1 – 10, Ohazu II Ward, Aba South LGA, Abia State MISSING. Voters refuse to vote without the register.
