The Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji has expressed sadness at the demise of a former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Vincent Ogbulafor.

The Abia Speaker who described the late Chief Vincent Ogbulafor as a close friend of his father, a political mentor who had always supported his political journey and also championed his emergence as Speaker of the 7th Abia State House of Assembly, expressed shock at the sudden death of the PDP chieftain, which the Speaker described as a huge loss to the Ochendo family.

Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji further said that Chief Ogbulafor, who hailed from Olokoro in Umuahia South LGA of Abia State, died at a crucial time he was needed for his fatherly wisdom in the nation’s democratic process, saying the Ochendo family, Abia State and the nation as a whole have lost a rare gem.

While praying for the repose of the soul of the elder statesman, Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji prayed God to grant the family he left behind the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
