Abia Speaker List Out Fake Facebook Profiles Impersonating Him, Says He’s Not On Facebook

The Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, has called on the general public to be cautious of a numerous fake Facebook profiles impersonating him.

Hon. Orji said the Facebook profiles tries to lure unsuspecting members of the public with offers of non-existing jobs in some Federal agencies including the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) and defraud them of their hard-earned money in the process.

In a press statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Jude Chijioke Ndukwe, described the acts as a criminal impersonation of Mr Speaker, he stated that the bank accounts the criminal elements use in defrauding innocent members of the public through these antics are as follows:

   Bank: Fidelity Bank
   Account No: 6324183303

One of the names (suspected to be fake), phone number and email address they also use are:

  Email: umar.hamisu@yahoo.com

According to the press release, the fraudulent activities of these criminal elements have been reported to the relevant authorities for appropriate action.

“Also their activities have been reported to the Management of FCMB to shut down the fraudulent account in order to safeguard members of the public, citizens are by this announcement strongly advised not to respond to any message on the social media purportedly coming from the Speaker nor fall prey to the antics of the impersonators,” the statement noted.

“Let it be stated clearly that Mr Speaker does not have any Facebook account, therefore, cannot contact anyone via the app for whatever purpose.”
