The Abia State chapter of All Progressive Congress, APC, has welcomed the Registration and Revalidation Committee from APC National Secretariat, Abuja led by Amb. Bala Mohammed Mairiga (Chairman).
In a statement signed by the state party Publicity Secretary, Comrade Benedict C. Godson, said their coming is a welcomed development as Abians are willing and eager to embrace the progressive party more and more.
“We welcome them and thank them for visiting our party leaders: Rt. hon. Barr. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, Deputy Whip, federal of Representatives, HE. Chris Akomas, PhD, Abia Reps.(RAMFAC), Prince Paul Ikonne, Exec. Sec. (NALDA), Prince. B.B. Apugo and other important party leaders whom we know must have briefed them on the stand of the party here”, the statement said.
“It’s no longer news that Abia APC under the leadership of Hon. Donatus Nwankpa (State Chairman) who is also the foundation Chairman of APC in Abia State 2013 to date, has become the fastest growing chapter if any political party in Nigeria.
“We are very much aware that the Registration and Revalidation of our membership will really help us in consolidating on our already well built solid grassroots foundation which has made us the darling of many people.
“There one message we must leave for our people and that’s that this Registration and Revalidation of membership is extremely important and we urge all old members and prospective members whom we know cannot wait to go out there and do the needful.
“From the 9th of February going forward, let everyone with progressive mentality visit all the polling units in all the Electoral Wards and get their membership revalidated while the new ones get registered.
