President Muhammadu Buhari’s aide on political matters, Babafemi Ojudu, has countered Nigerian Airline (Airpeace’s) plan to evacuate Nigerians in South Africa.
The former Ekiti state governor made a declaration through his Instagram page obtained by Daily times, saying that the Nigerians in South Africa is not ready to come back to their country.
Ojudu said, “I have heard of the plan by Air Peace to go to SA and evacuate Nigerians. Like seriously?
“This shows a lack of understanding of the situation down here. “I am here in SA. I am not sure Nigerians here are in a hurry to leave. I am also not sure many see the need to leave. I visited a hospital here today and met many Nigerian doctor and health workers.
He further stated that most Nigerians are not bothered and are busy with their various duties in their host country South Africa.
“They are busy carrying out their legitimate duties. I was in Mandela Square and was served at a restaurant by two Nigerians, they didn’t express any anxiety and neither did they feel under any pressure to flee SA, ” he narrated.
