Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has revealed how the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar betrayed former President Goodluck Jonathan prior to 2015 general election.
Wike made the revelation today in the state during commissioning of projects.
The governor recalled how President Goodluck Jonathan had traveled to London, UK in 2015 to meet Atiku at Dorchester Hotel and pleaded with him (Atiku) to support him and the latter refused and asked him to step down.
“This our presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar betrayed Former President Goodluck Jonathan. He asked Jonathan to relinquish his presidential ambition if he wants him to remain in PDP during the 2015 election.”
“I don’t know why people tend to forget history easily,” Wike said.
