Following the campaign for 2023 Presidential ambition of the South-Eastern Nigeria to produce the successor of President Muhammadu Buhari.
A group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide has said to have found someone with Nnamdi Azikiwe’s (Zik Of Africa) character. Someone who will see Nigeria as his entire Constituency and protect the interests of all Nigerians.
“Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide appreciate the support given to 2023 Igbo Presidency project by a respected leader and authentic voice of the North, Mallam Balarabe Musa, a statement signed by Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro have said.
The group was reacting following a comment made by Mallam Balarabe Musa, an elder statesman who drummed support for an Igbo extraction to produce the next president after Buhari.
Although, his statement has been countered by Northern Youths group (AREWA) who said the presidency can’t be given to Igbos in a platter of gold, while adding that Igbo can’t be trusted with power.
But OYC in a statement said; “its only Genuine reconciliation, Justice, Equity should be the cardinal points towards addressing the future of Nigeria.
“Igbo Youths are fully aware of the expectations of Nigerians on the personality of Igbo consensus Candidate towards 2023, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide with relevant stakeholders and respected leaders of the Igbo nation present another Owelle Nnamdi Azikwe.
“We have already found Another Zik of Africa, who’s pedigree equals that of the first Zik of Africa, we assure the North, that the New Zik will see Nigeria as his entire Constituency and protect the interests of all Nigerians irrespective of tribe and religion, We will present the New Zik of Africa to Nigeria in 2020.
