The Governor of Abia state, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, has assured Aba Landlords of his administration’s commitment towards restoring the glory of Aba through tackling sustainable infrastructure challenge, boosting Economic growth and reducing the rate of unemployment in the state.
The Governor stated this on Thursday during the second inauguration program of Aba Landlords Welfare Association executive committee (EXCO) tagged “ABA YESTERDAY, TODAY AND TOMORROW” at Recreation Club, Aba.
The Governor, who was represented by his deputy, Rt. Hon. Ude Oko Chukwu, PhD, thanked members of the association for their support to his administration and urged them to remain resolute in their decision to support the new Aba city project.
In his words “When you partner and collaborate with the Government., we will see the emergence Aba of Tomorrow sooner than Expected”.
The newly inaugurated President General of the Association and former Deputy Governor of Abia State, Rt.Hon. Acho Nwakanma, in his address, noted that the inauguration of the second EXCO is a call to quality service to the residents and visitors to Aba and the people of the state in general.
He described the association as the premier association in Aba comprising of people with the greatest stake in the Aba project: the property owners. He assured of the new EXCOs determination to instigate a Renaissance that is capable of catalyzing desirable change in the way people of Aba see their own city.
Also speaking, Chief John Udeagbala called on the Landlords, whom he addressed as the real stakeholders in the city, to close ranks with the government of Dr Okezie Ikpeazu to ensure a cleaner, safer and more prosperous Aba.
