There is an Ongoing Protest in Sokoto seeking for the immediate release of people arrested by Police over the gruesome murder of Miss Deborah Samuel on blasphemy.
AbaCityBlog had reported how Deborah was violently stoned to death and later set ablaze by angry mob, who were mostly students of the college.
Following the incident, the Sokoto State Police Command said two suspects were arrested and taken into custody.

According to the Sokoto Police spokesman, Sanusi Abubakar, the mob overpowered campus security before killing the female student and setting her remains on fire.
However, a flyer seen by AbaCityBlog on Saturday, written in Hausa language, asked Muslims to come out en mass to protest against the arrest of the suspected killers.
Answering to the call for protest, Sokoto Residents has taken to the streets to demand Police to release the killers of Deborah.
According to reports Security Forces on ground managing the situation.
However, road users are advised to apply caution while plying through Sokoto area.
