Peter Obi, Labour Party presidential candidate has addressed his last year invitation by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC.
Recall that Peter Obi was invited by the EFCC following a report that his name was among those appeared in the Pandora papers saga.
In a video recorded by Njeje Media, Obi confirmed his invitation, noting that he was invited, but the anti-graft agency found nothing against him, hence they let him go.
“EFCC invited me last year, because my name was mentioned in Pandora papers, I went there, I said when I became Anambra governor in 2007, I had a business in the United Kingdom, UK, I was doing well.
“So, I folded everything and put it in a trust, that’s what is there, if you go there and see one naira through out the time I was governor, take it – if not, you people should leave me and let me go,” Obi said.

The former Anambra State governor, also recalled how he handed over office to his successor, Willie Obiano in 2014. Obi said he called an open transition event where he invited all the Anambra stakeholders and made an open account before them.
“I invited the whole of Anambra people, and I announced it that I have with access bank $50 million dollars equivalent of the same amount in Naira.
“I have with Diamond bank $50 million dollars equivalent of it in Naira.
“I have fidelity bank $55 million dollars equivalent of it in Naira.
Obi said throughout his stay in office he never owed pensioners or gratuity, neither did he owe suppliers of goods.
“I’m not owing pension, I’m not owing gratuity, I’m not owing any supplier who have executed goods, I’m not owing anybody, I’m going,” Obi said.
Stressing that if other political parties have something against him, they would have used it to campaign against him.
“Today, whether you like it or not, I’m challenging the rascality of the government and those who are at the major occasion.
“You know, today if PDP and APC have something against me, they would have taken me to everywhere.
