Nigerians on social media has vowed to elect the former Anambra State governor, Peter Obi as the next Nigerian President after President Muhammadu Buhari come 2023.
The statement came on the heels of Peter Obi’s comment on deplorable state of Nigeria’s Health System.
Mr. Obi, who was featured on the AriseTV programme, on the topic of; “COVID-19 Any Viable Alternative Solutions? – compared the 10 years of Nigeria’s health sector budget to that of South African 2019 health budget.
He said; “What Nigeria of 200M people [Biggest Economy In Africa] spent (budget) in 10yrs between 2009-2019 is N2.73 Trillion equivalent of ($9bn) is just about 50% of what South Africa [2nd Biggest Economy In Africa] of 55 million people spent (budget) in 2019 – one year only of $17.1bn”
Obi, stated that it’s time to tell ourselves the truth that Nigeria’s poor health system is affecting the lives of her citizens.
He urged Nigerians to brace up over Covid-19 virus. “At the end of this pandemic, people will die and those who survived it should learned their lessons”, Obi told AriseTV.

In 2019, Obi was picked as the running mate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, which the party lost to the to the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC.
He has been someone who always gives clear analytics and complete data when it comes for the state of the Nation. In this interview, he proffer solutions on the Nigeria’s health system.
But the problem is, Mr. Obi is from South Eastern parts of the country and the North, has insisted on producing the next President after Mr. Buhari.
