Mannaseh Paul Ben, One of the activists arrested in Dunamis International Gospel Centre for wearing #BuhariMustGo T-shirts has opened up on his encounter with the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
On July 4th 2021, five young activists, Ben Mannaseh; Emmanuel Larry; Victor Udoka Anene; a blind Saxophonist, Samuel Gabriel Iwatonaiye and Henry Nwodo were arrested at Dunamis International Gospel Centre in Abuja.
According to reports published by Sahara Reporters, “the activists answered the ‘Altar Call,’ received Holy Communion and left the church peacefully but the Dunamis church security pounced on them, dragged them down to the church security posted, forcefully took over their phones and deleted the footage showing they attended the church and left.
“They proceeded to torture them and then invited the DSS to pick them up for indefinite detention. They spent over 28 days in detention, the reports added.
Mannaseh in a video published by Sahara Reporters revealed what the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu told them while they were in detention.
Recall that Mazi Kanu was recently rearrested and abducted back to Nigeria from Kenya, upon his return to Nigeria, Kanu is currently held incommunicado in a DSS facility in Abuja.
In the 6:18 seconds video, Mannaseh said it’s a false narrative that Mazi Kanu was arrested in Kanye while visiting a certain lady. The purported story was circulated on social media immediately the news of Kanu’s arrested trended on media space.
According to Mannaseh, Mazi Kanu is still in high spirit and he urged his followers to always stay strong and ignore the story that he was arrested in Kanye with a woman.
