Viral video shared by an Aba based journalist, Emmanuel Ifeanyi, showed the moment traders returning to Port Harcourt, Rivers State from Aba had to hang on a moving train to get to their location.
The video was captured, exactly 5PM at Aba Railway Halt.
The journalist who shared the video via his official Facebook account, pleaded with the Federal and Abia State government to fix the dilapidated state of Port Harcourt/Aba expressway.
According to him, the traders said they’re jumping and hang on train to avoid being stuck in the road by bus following the dilapidated state of the roads in Aba.
He wrote; “This is past 5 PM at the Aba Railway Halt Market, a mini Market opposite the Eziukwu Market (Cemetery Market Aba). This is now the dangerous way traders from Port Harcourt return to Aba three times weekly.
“They said they’re avoiding the dilapidated Federal Roads and Internal roads that now make a journey of 30 minutes from Aba to Port Harcourt a journey of 4 hours tiresome hours. Please let the Federal Government, the Abia State Government and whoever it may concern do something about roads linking Aba to Port Harcourt to avoid stories that touch. This is dangerous ooooo!!!!
