Supporters of the Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry, Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka, have demanded the exit of the Catholic Bishop of Enugu, Callistus Onaga.
AbaCityBlog reports that Father Mbaka had during his recent adoration, described Mr. Peter Obi, Presidential candidate of the Labour Party as a “stingy man”, that will never become the President of Nigeria.
Reacting to Mbaka’s outburst, the Enugu Catholic Bishop, Callistus Onaga in a letter addressed to ‘All the Clery, Religious and Lay Faithful in the Catholic Diocese of Enugu’, on Friday barred Catholics from worshipping at Adoration ministry.
The Bishop’s decision caused a protest today at Mbaka’s adoration ministry.
During the protest on Sunday, some worshippers who went to the ministry in Enugu, protested, carrying tree leaves and branches chanting, “Onaga Must Go.”
