Thousands of Nigerians have stormed branches of Shoprite, a South African owned chain store over the recent Xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in South Africa.
Social media was set ablaze after videos of the recent looting, burning and destruction of Nigeria owned properties, cars, businesses and homes of Nigerian citizens in South Africa surfaced online.
These violent looting and killings have deeply incited Nigerian to retaliate against South African businesses in Nigeria.
They took to the streets to protest against South African businesses operating in Nigeria. They targeted Shoprite and stormed several Shoprite branches all over Nigeria and vandalised their goods causing them to close down.
