Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has denied reports that the Nigerian medics made his shoulder injury worse.
Osimhen had dislocated his shoulder during a 4-4 draw between Nigeria and Sierra Leone on November 13.
However, while it is not yet clear when he will be able to return to pitch, as it’s a delicate injury without a fixed timeframe, story has it that the Nigerian medics who tried to fixed it made it worse.
A news blog, football-italia quoted Tuttosport as said the Nigerian medics did a bad job while trying to fix Osimhen dislocated shoulder.
“The report had emerged in today’s edition of the Turin-based sports paper, suggesting the dislocation was healed, but that there was an inflammation to the tendon caused by an incorrect procedure to pop it back into place,” read a statement extracted from blog.
But in a swift response, Osimhen debunked the story by quote-tweeting the Football Italia reports. He said; “Not true tho.”
