So far here are the recent updates on the Clash between the Islamic group(Shi’ites) and Nigerian police.
Despite all warnings by the Nigerian police, the group has turned deaf ears.
In Abuja massive procession by this group were observed.
The Barkin Ruwan bypass villagers in Kaduna State also said that there was tension on Tuesday morning during the procession by Shiitte members as the 3 people killed were hoodlums trying to take advantage of the procession.
The village head of the Barkin Ruwa community, Alhaji Idris Abdullahi said the procession was peaceful, until hoodlums tried to take advantage and were shot by the police.
Meanwhile the force has denied killing any member of these groups.
Spokesman of the Kaduna police command, Yakubu Sabo, disclosed, “Based on the report we have, there was no casualty. We received a report that they were sighted around Bakin Ruwa bypass, and our men went there and dispersed them professionally,” he said.
”That has been their (IMN) approach to make frivolous claims. This is a group that has been proscribed by the state and federal government. The police will not fold its arms; we dispersed them professionally. There was no report of casualty. They are just making this claim to seek public sympathy.”
