A United Nation’s Ambassador and humanitarian advocate, Dr (Amb) Prince Francis Origa has applauded the management of ABN TV for bringing to fore issues of humanitarian needs in Abia in particular and Nigeria in general even as families face difficulties on the account of lockdown across the country.
Dr. Origa, an American based UN scholar who made the commendation in a chat with ABN TV on Thursday at its corporate headquarters Umuahia said he is pleased with the quality of leadership the organisation has shown in terms of commitment, honesty and prudence.
“ABN leadership has actually provided that clue to us that there are individuals who share the burden of humanity. There are individuals we feel we need to contribute our own quota to.
“Getting to ABN, I’m very amazed and honoured to be here. I have seen the equipment and I was about to ask if government is responsible for the funding of the media outfit. If this is individual-driven effort, then it is worth commending” he said.
Dr. Origa, the Registrar/CEO Institute For Humanitarian Studies And Social Development while describing ABN TV as one of the organisations worth visiting, also extolled the humility of the Director, Mr. Ifeanyi Okali and the commitment of the staff.
He also hailed the efforts of the media outfit in reaching out to their immediate environment to help cushion the effect of the COVID-19 lockdown, calling on others to emulate ABN TV.
He also expressed willingness to recommend the organisation to the international community in terms of support to strengthen its capacity and providing necessary opportunities it requires.
