Some prominent sons and daughters of Umunneochi local government area of Abia State have commended the Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu for attracting development to their area.
The leader of the group, Dr. Samuel Olekanma, applauded Senator Orji Uzor Kalu for facilitating quality projects across the council area during what they called “project verification tour” to ascertain the number of projects facilitated by the Chief Whip of the Senate.
Olekanma said he mobilised the leaders of thoughts to “see for themselves” the projects attracted by the former Abia state governor now Senator representing Abia North senatorial district.
He said, “During the Easter Holiday, we saw on social media that Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has facilitated more projects to our area, we are here to see for ourselves if it is true.
“Today, we’ve seen the projects with our eyes and we must commend Distinguished Senator Orji Uzor Kalu and President Muhammadu Buhari for being magnanimous to our people.
“We’ve seen the Ogwumabiri road, Umuaku and Aroikpa road projects, installation of solar street lights in selected communities in Umunneochi LGA, construction of 1km rural road, Lekwesi, construction of 1km rural road, Ubahu, construction of 1km rural road, Amauba Obulo, construction of 1km rural road, Umueze to Umudim and construction of 1km Obilorji road.
“This is unprecedented and we are grateful to Senator Orji Uzor Kalu for these amazing projects. We shall continue to support him and his political ideologies for more people-oriented projects across our area,” he said.
