Ugezu J Ugezu a popular Nollywood actor and movie director, said a certain female fan slide into his Inbox and asked him to change his mobile phone.
Ugezu said the lady told him that she has been seeing him with the phone for over two years now and it doesn’t suit him, especially, as a celebrity.
Responding to the lady’s request, Ugezu popularly known as “Big Masquerade” said he is a priest and not a celebrity.
He wondered why he would change a phone that has been serving him for over 3yrs.
“So this lady actually came into my DM to say she noticed I have been using one phone for almost two years, that I should change the phone, that it is not befitting of a celebrity to use one phone for a year.
“I am still shocked. I never told anyone I am a celebrity. I am actually a priest. The phone is even 3 years plus Why must I change a phone still serving me perfectly? WAHALA PLENTY FOR NIGERIA.
Reacting, Nollywood actor, Walter Anga commented on Ugezu’s post, he said it will be irresponsible of him to buy a mobile phone that its price can even buy a half plot of land.
He revealed that his own mobile phone is over two years plus and he is not ready to change it, as long as the phone is serving him.
“She for come see my own phone the only difference is that yours is 3yr while mine is 2yrs+ going to 3.
She wants us to be carrying half plot of land as phone moving about. My dear e no be as you dey see am oh!!! (sic)
Another popular actress, who commented on Ugezu’s post, described the female Fan’s request as “Poverty of the Mind”, according to her, she get such request oftentimes.
She wrote: “Poverty of the mind. I get that nonsense often. Misplaced priorities” (sic)
It has become a norm for celebrities to be flaunting lifestyle, especially on the gram. This has led most of the so called celebrities to live a fake life.
While it has also, become a trend, not all popular personalities are ready to join the bandwagon.
