Super Eagles player, Samuel Kalu has tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus.
Kalu is the second Nigerian football star to test positive to the virus.
First to test positive was Paul Onuachu, during his return to pre-season with Genk but has now recovered.
Samuel Kalu (born 26 August 1997) is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a winger for French club Girondins Bordeaux and Nigeria.
He has been in quarantine after he tested positive for coronavirus, he was subjected to a test when he arrived in Bordeaux from Nigeria.
Bordeaux had announced that one of their players had tested positive for the virus without mentioning the person but a report by AFP revealed that the player was Kalu.
The 22-year-old has been in quarantine and has missed Bordeaux’s training sessions since pre-season resumed.
