As Nigerians prepare to elect a new president and members of the national Assembly, Sun FM 91.3, located in Igbere, Bende Local Government Area of Abia State has launched its election Coverage Situation Room for the 2023 general elections.
The station which is the first and only radio station in Abia North is ready and determined to give the electorate a voice to express their observations during the elections on Saturday and the march 11th governorship and state house of Assembly elections.
This was made known in a statement by the station Manger, Stanley Mba on Friday evening.
Mba said the situation room was created to give the electorate ample opportunity to tell the world through the station, minute by minute situations in various poling units.
Through this means, he said the station will have the opportunity to track down reports from Nigerians in the field and as well record the level of compliance and credibility of the presidential and national assembly elections.
Mba revealed that the station’s situation report room will be open from 8am and made available the following phone lines for calls to the situation room: 09027827828 and 09036766353.
Mba expressed hope that INEC will fulfill its promise to conduct a free, fair and credible election that Nigerians can be proud of.
He also urged Nigerians especially youths to shun violence during and after the elections.
