Abia – Official flag off and distribution of educational materials across the Five Local Governments Areas of Abia North kicked off on Wednesday.
The materials which includes school bags, various text book of different subjects, exercise books of different leaves was sponsored by the Senate Chief Whip and senator representing Abia North senatorial zone, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu.
During the flag off/ distribution of the materials at Collins Memorial College Ohafia, the senator who was represented by his legislative Aides Barr Victor Etie and Barr Uma Uyi Nbila, emphasized the need for the children’s future to be secured through proper Education. Kalu stated stated that every child have a right to good education, adding that he is elated to be contributing his quota towards the actualisation of the existing mantra.
In her response, the Principal, Mrs Eke Olujie expressed joy at the gesture of the senator. She called Kalu “God sent” and asked God to continue to bless the distinguished senator.
The pupils and teachers of the school were all filled with Joy and expressed happiness as they prayed for blessings and protection of the Chief Whip.
The distribution train later moved to Ofali Agwu secondary school Amaekpu ohafia and kpoki community school ohafia, were Educational materials were also distributed.
