Aba, the commercial city of Abia State was today, totally shut down to show full compliance to the Biafran Day sit-at-home order.
The city which is known as business hub was totally shutdown as traders deserted their shops to observe the May 31st Biafran Day.
The sit-at-home order issued by the leadership of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, is in line to commemorate the Biafrans who died during the war in 1967.
The sit-at-home order, according to eyewitness reports, saw the city of Aba in a total lockdown as shops and market places were all ghosted.
Check by Abacityblog.com saw Ekeoha (Shopping center) Market; Ariaria International Market; Bakassi Shoe Plaza; New Market; Ezikwu (Cemetery) Market, and other known ever busy market in a total lockdown.
In Umuahia, the Abia State capital, almost part of the city witness the lockdown as roads were all deserted.
Aba road in Umuahia, which is one of the busiest roads in the city of Umuahia was also ghosted.
