Chairman of Civil Liberties Organisation CLO Anambra State Comrade Evangelist Vincent Ezekwueme has applaud and extol governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State for his relentless efforts in inculcating moral rectitude in his administration and the state and living up to expectations of citizens, residents and visitors to the state.
CLO made the remarks in reaction to alleged viral video sex party purported to have held at Wintess Garden Hotels and Suites Ifite Awka, Anambra State on 3rd September 2022 by yet to be identified persons.
In a statement obtained by AbaCityBlog, CLO commended Governor Soludo and his commissioner for closing the hotel.
“We received with joy and gladness closure of Wintess Hotel Awka over purported hosting of sex party alleged to have been organized by yet to identify promoters of the illegality and absurdity,” CLO said.
“It is most despicable that such happened in the university community despite lecturers are on more than six months strike and students are on vacation.
“There is need to get to root and ascertain the actual authentic promoters and organizers of the devil event as Anambrarians, Nigerians are eager and inquisitive to know the organizers and the motive behind it.
“Nigerians should abhor with great disdain Mahatma Gandhi blunders of the World “commerce without morality and pleasure without conscience”
Evil triumph not because of those who do it, but because good people sit back and do nothing.
“We thanks greatly his Excellency for having political will and courage to sanitize the state and inculcate high moral standard and respect for law and order in the state.
“It is very unfortunate and detestable that this amorous and disgraceful act has brought and bought negative image and impact on the state and her citizens.
“This has shameful, painful and devastating shock and effects on our youths, society and state. It is an anathema and antithetical to our religion, culture, tradition and belief.
“We must abhor and resists attempt to put our dear state and society into morally bankrupt, putrefying and decadent society and state.
“Governor Soludo and Commissioner for Culture, Entertainment and Tourism should swing into action, take decisive steps further and constitutes men and women of impeccable integrity to unravel those responsible for the detestable act and circumstances surrounding such devilish, immoral, despicable and disgraceful act as well as their motives.
“It will certainly serve as a deterrent to others as well as to ensure adequate sanctions are meted to the perpetrators.
It is unbelievable that now Anambrarians should be praying, seeking for blessings, mercy, love of God and for restoration of adequate security, peace, unity, progress and end to lingering strike by University lecturers, yet such disgraceful, devilish and regrettable atrocity took place in our state, which is an anathema.
“We calls on our religious leaders to order for 7 days fasting and praying for God’s intervention, blessings, grace and mercy upon the state and her citizens in view of negative and irreligious atrocities bedeviling the state recently.
“We equally commends FGN for approving #829.6 millions for urgent completion of Nkwo- Inyi-Akpugoeze road linking Anambra and Enugu states.
“We call for expedite actions for the release of funds to enable contractors complete the work within six months duration period.
“We solicits for extension of such good gesture to 3_3 _Otuocha, Onitsha-Owerri, Nnewi-Uga-Okigwe roads that are begging for urgent and immediate government attention.
“It will be recall that CLO have incessantly demanding for prompt rehabilitation of both Federal and State roads for easy flow of persons, traffic, goods and services.
