Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, representing Abia North Senatorial District in the National Assembly is set to organise a 42-day skill acquisition training for 150 youths and women of his district.
The training would be held at Enugu and Abuja simultaneously with beneficiaries drawn from Arochukwu, Bende, Isikwuato, Ohafia and Umunneochi LGAs of the Senatorial District.
Kalu, who is also the Chief Whip of the Senate, in a statement signed by his media office said the training was aimed at enhancing productivity among youths and women of the district.
The statement noted that youth unemployment remained one of the greatest challenges of the society and there was a need to tackle it through skill acquisition.
The statement also gave assurance that the empowerment and skills acquisition training would be a continuous exercise, considering the need to touch the lives of his constituents positively.
