Former Governor of Abia State and Chief Whip of the Senate, Dr. Orji Kalu has extolled the virtues of former Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu.
Describing the Senator representing Enugu West Senatorial district as a consummate politician, seasoned public administrator and philanthropist, Kalu urged Ekweremadu not to relent in his good works, which has over the years, earned him goodwill beyond his constituency.
The former Governor made these remarks in a goodwill message on the occasion of the 60th birthday anniversary of the Senator.
He said, “on behalf of my family and good people of Abia North Senatorial district, I convey my warm greetings to former Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu as he clocks 60.
“The celebrant is a silent achiever in the public sector, which is obvious with his people oriented approach to governance.
“Having held various positions at the international, national and sub- national levels, the contributions of the Senator to humanity are highly commendable and worthy of emulation.
“As he celebrates this milestone, I pray for longer life for the Senator in the service of humanity.
Kalu equally congratulated family, friends and political associates of Ekweremadu, while wishing the celebrant a joyous birthday celebration.
