The Chief Whip of the Senate, Orji Uzor Kalu has felicitated his younger brother, Mascot Uzor Kalu, who is also the Abia State governorship candidate of the Action Peoples Party (APP) in the 2023 gubernatorial election, on his investiture as Knight of St. John International (KSJI).
Kalu’s congratulatory message was conveyed through a statement personally signed by him on Saturday afternoon.
The former Abia state governor believed Mascot Uzor Kalu’s contribution to Christendom, which attracted the recognition would always be remembered and appreciated by posterity.
“My heartfelt congratulations to my brother Chief Sir Mascot Uzor-Kalu (KSJI), who was today knighted by the Knights of St. John International (KSJI) alongside two others. The knighthood investiture took place at the KSJI Grand Commandery, Maria Assumpta Cathedral, Owerri, Imo State.
“The Orders of Knighthood require that you live up to the high calling of Christ in your life; that you take stand as a Christian warrior in the fierce struggle against evil in everyday life; and that you support the Christian Church with all the zeal you possess. I pray that God guides you as you take this path of servant leadership . The Holy Bible says that “Whoever wishes to become great among you shall be your servant, and whoever wishes to be first among you shall be your slave.” (Matthew 20:26-27),” the statement said.
