The Senate Chief Whip, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu today toured the ongoing constituency projects in the Abia North senatorial district.
Kalu, a former Abia State Governor inspected ongoing projects at Item, Abiriba and Nkporo, all in Abia North where he has lots of other ongoing projects.
During the project inspection, our correspondent gathered that there are other projects Senator Kalu attracted, despite spending a year and few months in the National Assembly.
Ongoing projects inspected are, rehabilitation of Okoko Item Central Primary School in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State.
Other ongoing projects attracted by the senator are; Uzo rubber Amaokwe Item; Ongoing 2km Amaeke Apanu item road; Amaurie/Nkporo/Abiriba road.
Senator Kalu, who spoke during inspection on the necessity of quality representation, inspected an ongoing motorized borehole at Amurie and Ndiagbo Nkporo in Ohafia LGA.
Speaking during the road inspection, Senator Kalu promised his constituency to expect more projects.
“This is just the beginning, I will attract more projects to the people and that’s the beauty of quality representative.
Thanking Senator Kalu on the provision of motorized borehole at Amurie and Ndiagbo Nkporo, the community expressed happiness while noting that it will bring an end to drinking of bad waters as the community gets her drinking waters from a river.
“This is the first time we are experiencing this and we want to thank the Senator for fulfilling the promise which he made to us during his campaign in 2019. He is a man who does what he promise and we will always be by his side no matter what”, said one of the village chiefs.
