Chief Whip of the Senate and former Governor of Abia state, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu was on Tuesday morning sighted at Nizamiye Hospital located at Lifecamp, Abuja.
Our correspondent who investigated Kalu’s mission to the hospital discovered that he came for a routine medical checkup.
A top Turkish official who confided in our correspondent revealed that senator Kalu has been a regular visitor and patronage of the hospital for the past six years.
The official who insisted on remaining anonymous spoke well of Kalu for his demonstration of believe in Nigerian owned hospitals despite having the capacity to patronize foreign hospitals.
Last year, Kalu was spottted at the Federal Medical Center Umuhia where he underwent medical examination against his doctor’s advice to undergo the medicals in Germany.
Verified reports also have it that Kalu never patronised foreign hospitals while he was governor of Abia state between 1999 to 2007.
