The Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, Friday, paid a condolence visit to Senator Michael Ama Nnachi over the death of his father, Pa Samuel Nnachi.
Pa Nnachi, who died at the age of 95 was buried today at his country home in Itim Edda, Ebonyi State.
During the visit, the former Abia State governor who described Senator Nnachi as his bosom friend urged him to see the burial of his late father as a celebration of life not a time to mourn.
“I want you and your family to take this event as a celebration of life. Your father lived a good life and should be celebrated.”
“Bible made us believed that there is two important event in everyone’s life, ‘a time to born and a time to die.”
“Please, accept my condolence”, Senator Kalu said while delivering a short note.
Senator Kalu further noted that despite the fact that Senator Nnachi representing Ebonyi South senatorial district is a PDP member, but their friendship is beyond politics.
Kalu who condoled with Senator Nnachi used the medium to announced his family will be having a remembrance ceremony for his late father, Pa. Kalu on 27th of December, 2020.
Meanwhile, with the Senator was Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, representing Bende Federal constituency and spokesperson of the House of Reps; also with the senate chief whip is the House of Assembly member representing Bende North State Constituency, Hon. Chijioke Chukwu; Chief Mascot Uzor-Kalu. And many other dignitaries.
