Governor Okezie Ikpeazu said pregnant women in Abia gets N500 when delivered her child in any of the Healthcare Centers in the state.
The governor who made the statement on Channels TV said delivery at every healthcare centers in Abia is free.
When asked what N500 will do for a woman who just delivered a baby, the governor said the money will, at least pay for the woman’s transport fare.
“Are you asking a poor woman what she will do with N500? It could do for anything, Some of them don’t have it, so they need the money at least for their transport”, the governor quiped.
